To fulfill this mission, we offer dinghy sailing every Saturday and keelboat sailing every Sunday out of South Beach Marina, adjacent to AT&T Park.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Colorado Discover Ability<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0in Grand Junction, Colorado, offers a variety of programs such as rafting, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, and camping.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Craig Rehabilitation Hospital\u00a0<\/a>in Denver organizes a wide variety of outdoor activities including skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hunting and rafting. \u00a0See their\u00a0brochure<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Dignity Travel<\/strong>\u00a0 offers “Easy and Accessible” tours around the world.\u00a0 Kristin wrote that “I went on a guided tour to Iceland with… [them]…. and it was excellent. It was 100% wheelchair accessible and great for slow walkers. They even provided a wheelchair for me as I was a slow walker with endurance issues. I would recommend them to anyone looking to travel with a small group. They do trips all over the world that change from year to year but also have yearly trips to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands.”\u00a0 Here is their website.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

Elder Treks<\/a>\u00a0has “small group adventures” for people over 50. \u00a0I have written them to see if they can accommodate disabled folk, but have had no reply.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Endeavour Safaris<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0is a tour operator based in Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Mozambique. \u00a0Endeavour Safaris is specialized in tourism for people with disabilities, senior travelers, their families and friends.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Epic Enabled<\/a>\u00a0conducts tours in South Africa and also\u00a0Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe\/Zambia (Vic Falls) and the rest of Africa. \u00a0“We offer scheduled tours, private & personalized itineraries to people with mobility, vision & hearing impairment.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Fika Safaris<\/a>\u00a0advertises as “….\u00a0the<\/em> safari specialist for people\u00a0with limited mobility. \u00a0Our specialized safari services will give (easier)\u00a0access\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0physically challenged\u00a0holidaymakers\u00a0traveling to\u00a0Kenya and Tanzania.” \u00a0They offer personalized and tailor-made safari and beach holidays.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

Here is a list of links to\u00a0Maine businesses<\/a>\u00a0(sponsored by Maine’s Lakes and Mountains Website) that claim to be handicapped accessible and which offer a wide variety of outdoor activities ranging from camping, guided fishing and hunting, skiing, boat tours and more.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Adaptive Kayaking<\/a> with Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
National Sports Center for the Disabled<\/a>\u00a0in Winter Park, Colorado started out in 1970 giving children with amputations ski lessons. \u00a0It now offers a range of year-around sports and adventures for almost any disability you can think of. \u00a0Activities include “….alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, Nordic hut trips, snowshoeing and ski racing… indoor soccer and lacrosse as well as rock climbing and indoor kayak lessons… rafting, kayaking, canoeing, special camps, horse pack trips, therapeutic horseback riding, mountain biking, camping and rock climbing. \u00a0All programs are designed for individuals, families and groups and are available for all levels of ability, from beginner to advanced.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Outdoors For All<\/a> is a Seattle-based\u00a0nonprofit organization “providing year round instruction in outdoor recreation for people with physical, developmental, and sensory disabilities since 1979. Outdoors for All\u2019s year round programming includes snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country and downhill skiing, cycling, hiking, river rafting, canoeing and kayaking, day camps, water skiing, rock-climbing, camping and Custom Events.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Even if you are not in the UK, do check out\u00a0Pony Access<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0for great ideas and pictures of getting wheelchair users outdoors via ponies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Senior Assisted Tours<\/a>\u00a0sounds interesting. \u00a0They have tours to India, Thailand & Cambodia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. \u00a0The website says they have special services for disabled travelers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Ski For Light<\/a>\u00a0holds an annual week-long event in various parts of the US. “Ski for Light, Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit, organization founded in 1975. The mission of the organization is to teach blind, visually- and mobility-impaired adults the sport of classic cross-country skiing, to give participants who have already mastered the basics the chance to improve their skills and endurance, and to enable participants to just have fun on the snow.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

Society for Accessible Travel and Hospitality<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Here is an amazing list of over 40 websites addressing the needs of disabled travelers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
Soldiers to Summits<\/a>\u00a0 is a program of\u00a0No Barriers Soldiers<\/a>, which is part of No Barriers USA<\/a>.\u00a0 They help veterans with a wide range of disabilities from PTSD and TBI to amputations. \u00a0“Our programs permanently impact lives by helping disabled members of all military branches tackle personal challenges. Mountains serve as both metaphor and training ground for stretching goals, building world-class teams, innovating through adversity and stepping up to lead and serve others….”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
