950 square kilometres of unceded Mi\u2019kmaq territory showcasing majestic plateaus, deeply cut river canyons and spectacular coastal scenery.&#8221;<br \/>\nPhone 902-224-2306\u00a0 Here is their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pc.gc.ca\/eng\/pn-np\/ns\/cbreton\/visit\/acces.aspx#trails\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The park has few accessible trails. \u00a0We walked the <a title=\"Middle Head Trail\" href=\"http:\/\/www.trailpeak.com\/trail-Middle-Head-Cape-Breton-near-Ingonish-NS-1881\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Middle Head trail<\/a> from Ingonish. \u00a0It is just 2 1\/4 miles, not at all wheel chair accessible and I would have thought too rough for most disabled people. \u00a0However in spite of a heart condition and a bum knee, mile \u00a0wheelchair accessible loop <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Freshwater Lake Trail<\/span> at Ingonish Beach<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessiblenature.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/wheelchair_symbol_blue.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1212\" src=\"https:\/\/www.accessiblenature.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/wheelchair_symbol_blue.png\" alt=\"Wheelchair Accessible\" width=\"18\" height=\"19\" \/><\/a>The Bog Trail is half an hour from Cheticamp and is a short wheelchair accessible boardwalk loop. \u00a0There are interpretive signs and we were there in June when the pitcher plants were in bloom. \u00a0Later in the year there Antigonish, causing us to spend an unplanned night there and to discover their lovely river walk &#8211; the <a title=\"Antigonish Landing Trail\" href=\"http:\/\/novascotia.cioc.ca\/record\/ACO0076\" target=\"_blank\">Antigonish Landing Trail<\/a>. <a title=\"Map of Landing Trail\" href=\"http:\/\/www.trails.gov.ns.ca\/SharedUse\/a009.html\" target=\"_blank\">Map<\/a> The trail is a well maintained 4.8 km level road besides an estuary of the Antigonish Harbour. We didn&#8217;t complete the entire trail, but the part we did walk was wheelchair accessible.
