The National Forest Campground Guide<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is produced by Fred and Suzi Dow. \u00a0They do address accessibility. \u00a0 From their site: \u00a0“As of May 9, 2012, Fred and Suzi Dow have completed research on 155 national forests, 20 national grasslands, 1 national tallgrass prairie and 2,383 developed campgrounds. Some information also provided for dispersed camping locations. Research of campgrounds with 10 or more designated sites in all national forests in the U.S.A. is completed.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

National Sports Center for the Disabled<\/a>\u00a0in Winter Park, Colorado started out in 1970 giving children with amputations ski lessons. \u00a0It now offers a range of year-around sports and adventures for almost any disability you can think of. \u00a0Activities include “….alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, Nordic hut trips, snowshoeing and ski racing… indoor soccer and lacrosse as well as rock climbing and indoor kayak lessons… rafting, kayaking, canoeing, special camps, horse pack trips, therapeutic horseback riding, mountain biking, camping and rock climbing. \u00a0All programs are designed for individuals, families and groups and are available for all levels of ability, from beginner to advanced.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

There is camping, fishing, picnic tables and an 8 foot wide boardwalk just over a mile long. Charging stations are placed at intervals along the boardwalk for electric wheelchairs. \u00a0There are a “…number of tent sites for the traditional camp experience, 5 wheelchair level “huts” as well as two cabins, one rustic and one modern for you to enjoy. Each cabin can be rented for a minimal cleaning fee.”<\/p>\n
